Why this site?

Because I believe your corner of the internet should be yours. Not an algorithm’s. Not a platform’s. Yours.

Social media is fine for staying connected, but it’s not a home — it’s a rental. This site is where I own the content, control the experience, and get to show up as a whole person rather than a profile optimized for engagement.

What do I care about?

I care about my family above everything else. I want to be present for them, to truly live alongside them rather than just exist near them — which is a big part of why I take fitness seriously and try to make choices that keep me around for the long haul.

I care about doing good in the world. Not in a grand, sweeping way — just in the Maya Angelou sense: do the best you can until you know better, then when you know better, do better. That applies to how I treat people, how I consume, how I vote, and how I speak up for those who’ve been silenced.

I care about curiosity. About the idea that there’s more out there than what we can see and measure — whether that’s the Force, a ghost story, or the mystery at the heart of faith. I’m not certain about much anymore, but I’m okay with that. The questions are worth sitting with.

I care about people being allowed to be who they are without someone else yucking their yum. Life’s too short for that.

How do I want to show up?

Humbly. Mercifully. Justly. — Micah 6:8

With enough courage to dare greatly, and enough self-awareness to know I don’t have it all figured out.

As someone who, when you leave a conversation with me, feels a little more seen than before it started.
